Calculate Electricity Cost for an 8-Hour Print

Scenario

A maker estimates an overnight job’s energy charge.

Inputs and assumptions

Average power 120 W; duration 8 h; energy rate USD 0.25/kWh.

Calculation steps

  1. Power = 120 ÷ 1000 = 0.12 kW.
  2. Energy = 0.12 × 8 = 0.96 kWh.
  3. Charge = 0.96 × 0.25.

Result

USD 0.24 electricity cost.

Limits

Average power is an illustrative assumption. Measure the complete heating and printing cycle for a better input.
